The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship between socio economic status and customer expectation on corporate social responsibility of banks in Virudhunagar District. The researcher has applied Chi-square test to study the relationship between the socio-economic variables and their level of expectation of Corporate Social Responsibilities of banks. The Chi-square test reveals that there is no relationship between literacy level, period of transaction and category of bank and their level of expectations towards the CSR activities of banks. This study also reveals that there is a relationship between gender, age, place of residence, educational status, occupation, monthly income and type of account and their level of expectations towards the CSR activities of banks.
